Product Description

The water detection cord consists of two thin metal conductors, in weave of hygroscopic textile fiber. As a result, the detection cord is flexible and easily bendable.
High detection sensitivity
For this type of water detection cord, 10 to 20 drops of water are enough to generate an alarm.

This line detector is suitable for water-consuming equipment and machinery, climate control installations, along pipes and in cable ducts.

Applications

In technical rooms, on the floor.
Along pipes, such as sprinkler systems.
In cable ducts, switch boxes and machinery.
Cooling ceilings, air conditioners and other equipment.

Water detection alarm systems
Water detection cord includes a water alarm unit with adjustable sensitivity. You can connect any length (up to 500 m) of water detection cord to this detector.
In practice, shorter circuits, each with its own alarm unit, are more convenient for quickly locating a leak. With one water detection unit per zone, the user finds more quickly where the water leak is.
For technical areas and machinery monitoring (short detection circuits), the Water Detector with 2 relays is a good solution. In case of leakage, one contact can switch off a 230V machine, while the other simultaneously controls a cell phone detector.

Water detection alarm system construction
For standalone situations, the Surface-mounted Water Detector is suitable. This is a complete alarm system, with 4 sensor channels, beeper and potential-free alarm contacts. In addition to detection cord, it also works (simultaneously) with water sensors.

Wiring of water detection cord
This water detection cord can be mounted in many ways; with ty-reps, brackets or mounting kit (a drop here and there is enough).
To avoid false alarms, it should only be applied to surfaces that are bone dry in normal condition!
For connection, normal 2-wire signal cable, e.g. telephone cable, is suitable. For the connections, use a connector box or compression fittings. Special (expensive) plugs and connectors are not necessary.

Detection circuit | wire break control
You install exactly as much detection cable as needed. It is even possible to connect several pieces of detection cable in series.
In combination with an NVP unit and the corresponding terminating resistor at the end of the circuit, you achieve protection against wire breakage and sabotage.
